THE RIVIERA

The Anchor Group were awarded the contract for design and installation of a soil retention system for the excavation for the Riviera Project. Due to the presence of the high water resulting from the close proximity to Lake Ontario a continuous caisson wall was selected.

The area of caisson wall was 32,000 ft² and required the installation of 190 piles and 190 fillers 40 feet in depth. The excavation was braced with 180 rock anchors which were drilled by Crown Drilling, a member of The Anchor Group.
