THE RIVIERA

The Anchor Group were awarded the contract for design and installation of a soil retention system for the excavation for the Riviera Project. Due to the presence of the high water resulting from the close proximity to Lake Ontario a continuous caisson wall was selected.

The area of caisson wall was 32,000 ft2 and required the installation of 190 piles and 190 fillers 40 feet in depth. The excavation was braced with 180 rock anchors which were drilled by Crown Drilling, a member of The Anchor Group.
